REDPATH (FORMERLY PEABODY)

Design, refurbishment and installation of 11Kv, 1000v and 415v tunnelling equipment. These include mine winders, Robbins Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM), conveyor systems, soft starters, variable speed drives (VSD) and associated switchgear and cabling.

Projects locations were Prospect, NSW, Malaysia, Georgia-Russia and the S1 sewerage tunnel in Brisbane, Queensland.

Mega Electrics AUS were part of a crew assembling a Robbins TBM on behalf of Anglo Coal for a project in Moura.

CPB, BAULDERSTONE, BILFINGER BERGER (LBBJV) CLEM 7 (FORMERLY LEIGHTON)

North South Bypass Tunnel (Clem7) on surface.
Assisted LBBJV with the 22kV high voltage setup for the TBMs, temp power on various areas of site, road works power & lighting, tunnel power and lighting.

Mega Electrics AUS provided a 24 hr six day shift coverage, on the 11kv and LV electrical systems, automated segment equipment, batch plant and pouring chamber. Mega Electrics AUS was involved in all the upgrades and modifications to the factory and casting equipment.

CPB CONTRACTORS M2 TUNNEL SYDNEY (FORMERLY LEIGHTON)

Mega installed all temporary 415V power and lighting supplies for the Tunnel.

CPB CONTRACTORS/ APLNG MILES ORIGIN (FORMERLY LEIGHTON)

Installation of 22Kv, 3,3Kv and fibre optic cables in trenches with Mega Electric AUS’s own designed and supplied 10 ton trailers. The trailer crews are trained and operated by Mega Electrics AUS. Termination of HV cables into substations and well heads, Megga and VLF testing with our own test equipment. Fibre cables, underground splicing, terminating at the substations and the well heads, bi-directional testing with the OTDR tester for full compliance testing. All test equipment, splicer, and light source meters are owned by Mega Electrics AUS.

Port of Brisbane expansion on births 7 & 8. Worked on the automated straddles and various interlocking facilities, HV, drives, motors on the container cranes on a maintenance schedule. Fibre system installation on the reefer pads.

THIESS JOHN HOLLAND (TJH) JV /AMPCONTROL AIRPORT LINK

Installation of Electrical HV and gantry cranes for the 150m x 80m, 12,000m² shed, completed the electrical set up for the facility, including the HV and gantry cranes.
Mega provided 415V installation and maintenance works on the automated wire machines for Brisreo and Aureo.
Various Surface, Tunnel including temporary 22kV.

Completed 22kV high voltage installation for Amp Control including 22Kv cabling, 11kV to 22Kv step up transformer, terminate plug terminations. Testing, included VLF and Megga.

Mega had undertaken the permanent 22kV cabling works, including jointing, terminating and testing.

TRANS CITY /AMP CONTROL LEGACY WAY

Installation of temporary 22kV substations for the tunnel power supplies including earth grids. Works included Installation of cable ladders and cables, cable jointing and terminations to 22kV power system.

BRISBANE CITY COUNCIL

Sami Bitumen Bulk storage facility at the Port Of Brisbane. Works included 11kV substation works, fibre cabling and terminations, street lights, switchboards, cable ladder, hazardous area equipment and VSD’s.
